Lead Pastor, Founder of Radical, Software Designer, Author

David Platt serves as Lead Pastor of McLean Bible Church in Washington, D.C. He is the founder and chairman of Radical, an international ministry that serves the church for the cause of Christ—to glorify God by making disciples and multiplying churches among all nations. Additionally, Platt is recognized as a legendary software designer and has been honored as one of Microsoft's Software Legends.

Platt is the author of "Radical, Radical Together, Follow Me, Counter Culture, Something Needs to Change, and Before You Vote", and he is the author of several volumes in the Christ-Centered Exposition Commentary series. He has also authored eight programming books, including "Introducing Microsoft .NET, 3rd Edition" and "Why Software Sucks: ...and What You Can Do About It". His expertise spans across a variety of topics, including education, technology/IT, and media/journalism, making him a sought-after speaker in these fields.

Platt received his Ph.D. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He holds a Master of Engineering degree from Dartmouth College and completed his undergraduate work at Colgate University. Along with his wife and children, he lives in Ipswich, MA, where he is affectionately nicknamed "The Mad Professor".
