David Saltzman    

Co-Founder of Atria Institute; Former Executive Director of Robin Hood Foundation

David Saltzman is the Co-Chair of the Atria Health Collaborative, a not-for-profit dedicated to eradicating medical inequity, and the Co-Founder of Atria Health, a start-up company aiming to improve healthcare delivery. He previously served for 27 years as Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Robin Hood Foundation, New York City’s largest poverty-fighting organization.

Earlier in his career, Saltzman served as the special assistant to the president of the Board of Education of the City of New York, the nation’s largest school system. Before working at the Board of Education, he ran AIDS education programs for the New York City Department of Health.

Named one of TIME’s 100 Innovators in 2001, Saltzman is a founding board member of Robin Hood and Zearn, and continues to serve on their boards as well as that of iMentor, Milton Hershey School, Hershey Trust Company, Rithm Capital, Coinstar and World Surf League PURE. He brings his wealth of experience and valuable insight into poverty, education, nonprofit management and responsible investing to these organizations.

Saltzman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University, his Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, and a Doctor of Humane Letters degree, also from Brown University.
