Olympic Speaker and British Paralympic wheelchair champion David Weir won this third London Marathon in a row, and his fourth in total. In the 2010 London Marathon, he got a flat tire but came back in the 2011 Marathon to win his fifth title, two seconds ahead of Heinz Frei. In the 2008 Summer Paralympic Games, he won four medals and won a silver and bronze at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens.

David Weir is the current British record holder of the distances up to 5,000 meters as well as the road at 10 Km, half marathon and marathons. He has been named one of the best wheelchair athletes in the world and was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire in the 2009 New Year Honors. He is also an Ambassador for the Lucozade Sport. David Weir is available for speaking engagements, sporting events and sports clinics.
