Academy Award-Winning Director & Producer Known for "He Named Me Malala," "An Inconvenient Truth," "Waiting for Superman" & "Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie"

Davis Guggenheim is a critically acclaimed, Academy Award-winning director and producer, whose early work includes many television dramas such as NYPD Blue, ER, 24, Alias, The Shield, and Deadwood. He transitioned into directing non-fiction films with The First Year, which aired on PBS in 2001 and won a Peabody Award.

Guggenheim is well known for the documentaries An Inconvenient Truth, for which he won an Oscar for Best Documentary Feature, It Might Get Loud, The Road We've Traveled, Waiting for "Superman", Inside Bill's Brain: Decoding Bill Gates, and He Named Me Malala. He also directed Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, which won The Hope Award at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival. Since 2006, Guggenheim is the only filmmaker to release three different documentaries that were ranked within the top 100 highest-grossing documentaries of all time.
