Actor, Producer and Television Personality; Best know for his portrayal of Superman in 'Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman'

Dean Cain was born on July 31, 1966 as Dean George Tanaka. His mother, actress Sharon Thomas, later married film director Christopher Cain, who legally adopted Dean and his brother Roger. The family moved to Malibu, CA, and Cain attended Santa Monica High School. He played baseball for the school with fellow teammates Charlie Sheen Chad and Rob Lowe. Cain graduated in 1984 with 17 scholarship offers, but he decided to attend Princeton University.

Cain graduated from Princeton in 1988 with a History degree. The Buffalo Bills signed him as a free agent, but he injured his knee during training camp, ending his football career. Cain became interested in screenwriting and acting, appearing in commercials and television shows like Beverly Hills, 90210.

In 1993, Cain landed the role of Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. The series ran for four years, reaching 15 million viewers per episode at the height of the show's popularity. Since then, Cain has acted in numerous movies like Rat Race, Out of Time and Post Impact. He started his own production company, which produced Ripley's Believe It or Not! He also served as the show's host.

Recently, Cain has appeared in television shows like Burn Notice, Criminal Minds and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23. Cain is also a contestant on NBC's reality show Stars Earn Stripes, where celebrities contend with one another while executing military challenges that are inspired by real exercises.
