Social Entrepreneur & Founder of Women's Leadership Network The WIE Suite

Dee Poku is the Co-Founder and CEO of the WIE Network, an annual women’s conference and leadership network aimed at empowering future generations of women leaders. Over the years, the WIE Symposium has attracted an incredible lineup of speakers including Donna Karan, Arianna Huffington, Queen Rania, Ted Turner, Melinda Gates, Diane von Furstenberg, Nancy Pelosi, Jill Biden, Aerin Lauder, Lauren Bush, Christy Turlington, Iman and Rosario Dawson.

She is also the founder of The Other Festival, a dynamic platform for female makers and creators.

A former Hollywood studio executive, Poku’s background includes senior marketing roles at Paramount Pictures and Focus Features (a division of Universal Pictures). She oversaw the movie release campaigns for the likes of Al Gore’s "An Inconvenient Truth"; the Coen brothers’ "No Country For Old Men" and "O Brother Where Art Thou"; Sofia Coppola’s "Lost in Translation"; Alejandro González Iñárritu’s "Babel" starring Brad Pitt and Ang Lee’s "Brokeback Mountain."

She began her career in brand marketing and promotions and has worked with renowned brands such as Coca Cola, Absolut Vodka, Crème de la Mer, Stella Artois and London Fashion Week.

Poku holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She is on the Board of Directors of the British Academy of Film (BAFTA).
