Delaney Tarr is a journalist and activist known for co-founding the national gun violence prevention group March for Our Lives after the shooting at her high school in Parkland, Florida on Feb. 14, 2018.

Tarr is known for her work as a public speaker, youth engagement organizer and gun-violence prevention advocate on the national and local scale. As a journalist, she covers all beats with an interest in social justice and responsible reporting on vulnerable sources.

In the years since the shooting, Tarr has written extensively on the “Youth Activism Industrial Complex” with a focus on the ways corporations and benefactors interact with young organizers, particularly in trauma-oriented landscapes.

She has been published in Teen Vogue, Miami Herald, THEM, SaportaReport and other Atlanta-based outlets. Tarr has also contributed to two books: ‘Glimmer of Hope’ and ‘We Say #NeverAgain.’
