Demi Lovato is a singer, songwriter, actress, and television judge. After appearing on the children's television series "Barney & Friends", she rose to prominence for their role as Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel musical television film Camp Rock and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.

Lovato has released six studio albums: "Don't Forget", "Here We Go Again", "Unbroken", "Demi", "Confident", and "Tell Me You Love Me"; all of which debuted in the top five of the US Billboard 200. They have earned nine top-20 singles on the US Billboard Hot 100 with "This Is Me", "Here We Go Again", "Send It On", "Skyscraper", "Give Your Heart a Break", "Heart Attack", "Cool for the Summer", "Sorry Not Sorry", and "I Love Me". In total, she have sold over two million albums and 20 million singles in the United States. On television, Lovato has starred as the titular character on "Sonny with a Chance"; served as a judge and mentor on "The X Factor USA" in its second and third seasons; and appeared as a recurring character on "Glee". Their struggles with personal issues received significant media attention in the 2010s; in response to which they published a book, "Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year", and released a YouTube documentary about their life and career, titled "Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated".

Lovato is a pop, pop rock, and R&B artist. They have received various accolades, including an MTV Video Music Award, 14 Teen Choice Awards, five People's Choice Awards, and two Latin American Music Awards. She also holds one Guinness World Record, and in 2017 Time magazine named them one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Outside the entertainment industry, Lovato is an activist for several social causes.
