Denise Austin promotes a sensible, realistic, and enthusiastic approach to fitness and eating: She works out only 30 minutes a day and never skips a meal. She has been named "America's favorite fitness expert." Her health and fitness philosophies have garnered a large following across the United States, evidenced by the over 10,000 letters and emails she receives weekly. Austin credits her energy and ability to tackle challenges to the gratification she derives from making a positive impact on people’s lives, inspiring them to improve their health and fitness.

Austin began her fitness career teaching aerobic exercise classes in the Los Angeles area, which led to her own local television program. Over her extensive career, she has sold nearly 20 million exercise videos and DVDs, earning her a place in the Video Hall of Fame. She has authored eight books on fitness, with her most recent publication, "Sculpt Your Body with Balls and Bands," introducing a new system designed to firm up and shed unwanted pounds in only 12 minutes a day. Her column, "Body Work by Denise Austin," appears monthly in Prevention magazine, offering targeted exercises for various problem areas of the body.

Austin is entering her 20th season on television with popular shows such as "Denise Austin's Daily Workout" and "Fit and Lite Daily Workout" on Lifetime TV. "Denise Austin's Daily Workout" is noted as the longest running fitness show on television. In 2002, she was appointed by President Bush to the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports (PCPFS), focusing on encouraging physical activity among Americans of all ages, with a special emphasis on youth programs. Austin continues her commitment to promoting fitness by visiting schools across various states, aiming to work with youth in every state in America. She also has her own line of workout equipment and a signature shoe and bodywear collection by Danskin.
