Dennis Ray Schneider, PhD  

Dr. Dennis Ray Schneider is a renowned scientist, author, environmentalist, researcher, respected fish identification expert, as well as expert in his field of microbiology.

Dennis Ray Schneider, PhD., has spent his career solving environmental problems around the world. His work as Vice President and Director of Research & Development with a “ green” environmental biotechnology company long before the word became politically correct, has taken him to places all over Europe, the Middle East, Kazakhstan, Russia, South America, Kuwait, China and other remote places around the world. His work has been dedicated to the research and development, as well as manufacturing of natural, sustainable, biotechnological solutions with a conscience. His work specializes in Oil Spill cleanup, Oil Well Stimulation, Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery, Paraffin and Scale Control, and Frac Damage Repair; Bioremediation and Wastewater issues. He has worked with NASA,;/1302636244475/) consulted on numerous environmental projects around the world including the most recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

 When not working as an executive in environmental biotechnology, he has lectured as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology at UT-Austin since 1986. He has taught courses in biotechnology, introductory microbiology, microbial biochemistry and physiology as well as microbial ecology. Dr. Schneider received his BS in Microbiology and his PhD in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin. He has written numerous technical papers. He is an avid scuba diver, a member of MENSA, and is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. He has been honored with the distinction as one of the most “Outstanding People of the 20 th Century for outstanding contributions to Biotechnology & Microbiology ” by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England;/1302635967124/).   His interests include microbial ecology and biochemistry as well as environmental science in general and marine conservation in particular.

Dr. Schneider has published numerous technical papers in the fields of microbiology, the petroleum industry as well as published his first novel, Saving the Whales a Bwana Doc Adventure;/1302635867021/), the first in a series of the adventures of Bwana Doc, international environmental pirate, the man that does what it takes to end the destruction of our planet.He donates portion of book sales to environmental groups;/1302636543710/)such as the National Audubon Society for their use to clean birds during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill clean-up.
