Emmy Award-winning and New York Times Best-Selling author Derek Hough began his dance training in Salt Lake City, UT, at age 11. A year later, he relocated to London to train under top dance coaches and attend the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, where his studies encompassed theatre, music, and dance.

As a celebrated choreographer, Hough is a three-time Emmy Award winner and twelve-time nominee, making him the most nominated male choreographer in the history of the Television Academy. His film and television career includes his debut in "Make Your Move," directed by Duane Adler, and roles in the ABC series "Nashville" and "High School Musical: The Musical" on Disney+. His stage roles have been notable as well, with performances in "Radio City Music Hall’s Spring Spectacular," co-starring Laura Benanti, and the lead role in the London West End's production of "Footloose." He also showcased his talents in NBC’s "Hairspray Live!" alongside Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande.

In 2020, Hough expanded his television presence by joining the judging panel of the ABC series "Dancing with the Stars," working alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Toniolo. Known for his unmatched skill on the dance floor, Hough is the only six-time champion in the show’s history, having secured wins with partners including Brooke Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jennifer Grey. His dynamic presence both on and off the dance floor continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
