Since 2017, Carlynn Greene has helped students win scholarships and graduate debt-free. Greene also gives general advice to be successful in high school, college and transitioning into a professional career. Across social platforms, Greene has amassed over 870,000 followers on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube for her work helping others.
In 2021, Greene was a part of the inaugural classes for the TikTok for Black Creators Program and the LinkedIn Accelerator Program. Additionally, Greene was a grant recipient for each program. Greene also won ADCOLOR's first-ever TikTok Creator Award for her advocacy on social media.
Outside of using social media, Greene also speaks and instructs in-person. For instance, in 2022 Greene was invited to teach her scholarship masterclass at the NAACP national conference and at various colleges. Her goal this year is to tour and teach at even more schools and education-based conferences.
Additionally, partially thanks to her background as a news producer (previously worked for ABC News Live), Greene has had the opportunity to be a news contributor and talk about financial aid and college advice on TV and in news articles.
Greene has also been able to partner with various brands to promote their scholarships such as; Amazon, Dr. Pepper, etc., — and have had students she mentored win the scholarships offered by these companies and various other providers.
Greene is currently in graduate school (in the process of transferring for an MBA instead) and for her undergraduate degree she studied broadcast journalism, receiving various scholarships for her work as a journalist and producer such as from the; Congressional Black Caucus, the Society of Professional Journalists, to name a few.
In 2021 Greene worked as a producer for ABC News Live in relation to Good Morning America. There she worked on stories such as; the Brittney Spears conservatorship hearing, the Jan 6th insurrection investigation, and more.
