Emmy Award-winning Correspondent, Co-anchor ABC News, Best-selling Author

Diane Reis Macedo is an Emmy Award-winning correspondent and anchor for ABC News. She has received two Emmy awards for her exceptional work on "Good Morning America." Macedo currently serves as co-anchor of "World News Now" and "America This Morning" and also anchors several daily newscasts for ABC News Live. She frequently fills in as the pop news anchor on the weekend version of "Good Morning America" and makes regular appearances on "ABC World News Tonight," "Nightline," as well as "Good Morning America."

Before joining ABC News, Macedo was a weekend morning anchor for WCBS-TV in New York City, announcing her departure on March 6, 2016. Her earlier career includes roles as an editor for FoxNews.com and an on-air reporter for the Fox Business Network. Beyond her journalistic accomplishments, Macedo is the author of the best-selling book "The Sleep Fix: Practical, Proven, and Surprising Solutions for Insomnia, Snoring, Shift Work, and More." She continues to lead network special reports on significant events, such as the April 2021 car attack at the Capitol, the 2020 election coverage, and the Las Vegas mass shooting.

Macedo graduated from Boston College with a double major in communications and political science. She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, adding a valuable linguistic depth to her reporting. Additionally, she is the lead female singer for a musical ensemble called Tribeca Rhythm, showcasing her diverse talents beyond the newsroom.
