Managing Director, Future of Aging at Milken Institute

Diane Ty is the Managing Director of the Milken Institute Center for the Future of Aging. In this role, she spearheads the Alliance to Improve Dementia Care, indicative of her commitment to bettering the lives of the elderly. In addition to her primary role, she is also a senior advisor at Georgetown University’s Business for Impact at the McDonough School of Business. Her previous experience includes a tenure as a marketing, strategy, and business and program development consultant for Service Year Alliance, Generations United, and the Silicon Valley startup Super.

Prior to her current roles, Ty held the position of Senior Vice President of Strategic Market Development at AARP. Here, she was instrumental in creating the organization’s under-50/Millennial strategy, showcasing her ability to understand and cater to diverse demographic groups. Her leadership extended to Save the Children's Millennial-focused work, where she served as the Managing Director of US programs. Her educational qualifications include an undergraduate degree from Duke University, an MBA from the Wharton School, and an MA from the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, providing her with the theoretical knowledge to complement her practical experience.

In addition to her professional roles, Ty serves on the board of Capital Caring Health and as a gubernatorial appointee on the Maryland State Commission on Aging. Her upcoming engagements include speaking at the Center for the Future of Aging Advisory Board Meeting and the Reframing Aging: Never Past Your Prime session. These speaking engagements further highlight her expertise and dedication to improving the quality of life for the aging population.
