Senior Player Manager at the NFL Players Association

Dior Ginyard was named a Senior Player Manager for the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) in July 2018, after previously holding a player development and player manager role the previous five years.

Dior leads the strategic implementation of innovative initiatives, programs, and resources designed to equip players with the skills needed to make a successful transition in, through and beyond the NFL. One of the more recent campaigns is the #AthleteAnd initiative that encourages athletes to hone in on their careers, passions and/or interests outside of the sport they play. Additionally, Dior led the NFLPA/NFLsocial justice initiative to kickoff the 2020 NFL regular season.

A skilled visionary, Dior has crafted a distinguished career thus far supporting the professional development of NFL players. Guided by the philosophies of “Engage, Educate and Equip” he has played an active role in assisting players reach their maximum potential on and off the field. He has been recognized most recently for his professional accomplishments by Washington Business Journal, and was listed on their 2018 Top 40 Under 40.

Dior spearheaded the creation of the NFLPA’sRookie Onboarding Program which provides fundamental skills for a successful transition into to the NFL, and arms players with the essential tools needed to develop off the field. This initiative helps establish a solid foundation and action plan for rookies embarking on a rewarding, yet challenging career path in professional football.

In 2016, Dior was commissioned with leading the NFLPA Externship – an opportunity for NFL players to gain valuable experience with top organizations across the country. His guidance and player relation strategies led to a record-breaking 41 players taking on “externships” in the offseason with 15 companies. This cemented the NFLPA Externship as the premier program for professional athletes, and Dior was recognized by Forbes as a Top 30 Under 30 honoree in the sports category.

Embodying the spirit of service, Dior’s passion is inherently tied to helping players reach their full potential, aiding in the maintenance of their career, and transitioning equipped veterans into their post-football careers.

Prior to his time with the NFLPA, Dior held a communications and public affairs position with Lockheed Martin. He was the sole communicator for their NASA business, and oversaw the daily media relations and marketing operations.

Dior has led numerous community service projects aimed at providing food and resources to those in-need in the Washington Metro-Area through his organization The Brown Bag Project. Because of his community service efforts, Dior received the President’s Volunteer Service Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions in community service in the United States.

Dior overcame a severe brain injury to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Bowie State University, and Masters of Science degree in Management Marketing from University of Maryland University College. He resides in Odenton, MD.
