DLynn Proctor is a Master Sommelier and Director at Napa’s Fantesca Estate and Winery. Having spent over two decades in the industry, Proctor has gained extensive experience working in fine dining establishments, retail, rare wine brokerage, and international education. His role as an ambassador for wine has seen him conduct media relations, seminars, and educational programs across the Americas and Europe. Widely recognized for his extensive palate and oenological excellence, Proctor has trained with top winemakers, judged at renowned wine shows, and lectured at some of the world's leading universities.

Proctor's achievements in the wine industry have not gone unnoticed. In 2008, Wine and Spirits Magazine named him the 'Best Sommelier in America' and he has twice been a finalist in The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Société Mondiale du Vin Best Sommelier in America Competition. His accolades include being named one of Wine Enthusiast Magazine's Top 40 Under 40 Tastemakers in 2014 and appearing on the cover of Wine Business Monthly as one of America's Wine Industry Business Leaders in 2020.

In addition to his work in the vineyards and tasting rooms, Proctor has also made his mark in the world of film and television. He has appeared as a sommelier in the TV series "Hart to Heart", and was one of the four featured subjects in the internationally acclaimed documentary series "SOMM". Proctor also contributed to the Netflix Original film "Uncorked" both on screen and behind the scenes, earning the title of Associate Producer for his efforts.

Proctor is not only a respected figure in the wine industry but also a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion. He co-founded Wine Unify, a non-profit organization that seeks to provide funding, mentorship, and inclusion for underrepresented minorities in the wine industry. Known for making wine appreciation accessible and intriguing to a broad audience, Proctor continues to connect people through their shared love of wine.
