Don Flemons is known as "The American Songster" because his music repertoire covers nearly 100 years of American folklore ballads and jams. He can play the banjo, fife, guitar, harmonica, percussion, quills, and rhythm bones. Flemons has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, most recently in 2019 for "Best Folk Album". He was nominated for the same award at the 2012 Grammy Awards and won Best Traditional Folk Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards.
