Dorie Clark is a renowned American author and executive education professor at Columbia University’s Columbia Business School. She helps individuals and companies get their best ideas heard in a crowded, noisy world. Clark, who started her career as a journalist at the alternative newsweekly The Boston Phoenix, has been named one of the Top 50 business thinkers in the world by Thinkers50. She was honored as the #1 Communication Coach by the Marshall Goldsmith Leading Global Coaches Awards and one of the Top 5 Communication Professionals in the World by Global Gurus. She is a keynote speaker and not only teaches for Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and Columbia Business School, but also guest lectures at universities around the world, including Harvard University, IE Business School, and the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO.

She is the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of several books, including "The Long Game," "Entrepreneurial You," "Reinventing You," and "Stand Out," which was named the #1 Leadership Book of the Year by Inc. magazine. Besides her academic endeavors and authorship, she has given talks at prestigious locations such as the U.S. Library of Congress.

In her early career, Clark offered her expertise as a political communicator, serving as the press secretary for former U.S. Labor Secretary Robert Reich’s unsuccessful 2002 campaign for Massachusetts governor, and later as the New Hampshire Communication Director for Howard Dean’s 2004 presidential campaign. Building on her experience, she has been described by the New York Times as an “expert at self-reinvention and helping others make changes in their lives.” In addition to her contributions to academia and politics, she is a frequent contributor to the Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, and Business Insider, and consults and speaks for clients such as Google, Yale University, and the World Bank.

Adding to her diverse portfolio of activities, Clark hosts "Better," a weekly video interview program, for Newsweek. She is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School, a producer of a multiple Grammy-winning jazz album, and a Broadway investor.
