Dorothy Dowling is the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Best Western® Hotels & Resorts. The 30-year hotel industry veteran directs all marketing and sales strategies, overseeing the brand’s loyalty program, advertising, public relations, e-commerce, and consumer and field marketing.

Under Dowling’s leadership, Best Western’s loyalty program, Best Western Rewards®, has grown its membership to over 37 million members and has increased its revenue contribution percentage to hotels fivefold. The program has earned recognition as a top loyalty program by Loyalty 360, U.S. News and World Report and has received an American Express Loyalty Award.

Additionally, Dowling assisted with the development of Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ 13 individual brands; oversaw critical improvements in marketing and advertising to embrace a cross-platform, multi-channel consumer landscape; launched various online initiatives, including Best Western to Go and the Best Western Virtual Reality Experience; and doubled the brand’s performance in the business-to-business space.

Thanks to her firm belief in the value of enduring business relationships, Dowling has strengthened Best Western’s strategic partnerships with organizations such as AAA/CAA as well as developed innovative partnerships with TripAdvisor, Facebook, IBM and Google, among others.
