Dr Bowman has been a full-time whistle-blower and activist for peace and justice for 29 years.  President Reagan's Joint Chiefs of Staff called him into the Pentagon and pleaded with him to warn Congress and the American people of the "military lunacy" of Reagan's "Star Wars" scheme.  Colonel Bowman had directed all the "Star Wars" programs under Presidents Ford and Carter and knew well the enormous dangers Reagan's program posed to our national security.  Bowman personally briefed dozens of Senators and members of Congress and gave over 5,000 speeches against Reagan's "Star Wars."   This was instrumental in keeping weapons out of space and preventing nuclear war.  Today, Dr Bowman gives a variety of speeches against the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya, as well as on domestic issues.  His general theme is that we need a government which serves the people, not the multinatioal corporations and banks.  Separating big money and political power has been at the center of his work for nearly three decades, along with exposing government lies.  Bowman claims that all recent wars have been based on lies and were not in our national interest.  He advocates for bringing our troops home and giving up all our bases in some 170 foreign countries.  He would use the Armed Forces to protect our people and our borders -- period, not the global financial interests of multinational corporations.  He also advocates for abolishing the Federal Reserve, the CIA, and the Department of Homeland Security.  Some of his speakig events have been cosponsored by the Libertarian Party and the Green Party.  He is National Commander of The Patriots, a group seeking a government which "Follows the Constitution, Honors the Truth, and Serves the People."  His PhD is in Aeronautics and Nuclear Engineering from Caltech.  He is a 100% disabled combat veteran with terminal cancer from Agent Orange in Vietnam, where he flew 101 combat missions in the F-4 Phantom jet.  The Los Angeles Times called Dr Bowman "the best public speaker in the country."  His "Inaugural Address" brings down the house with its humor, its bold action, its pathos, and its power.  It has been called "the best speech ever, on any subject."
