Dr. Flemming Ornskov, MD & MPH has been Chief Executive Officer of Shire plc since April, 2013 and serves as its Director. Prior to that, Dr. Ornskov served key executive leadership positions at Bayer, Bausch & Lomb, Inc., Merck & Co., Inc. and Novartis AG. He received his MD from the University of Copenhagen, his MBA from INSEAD, and his Master of Public Health from Harvard University. Before his business career, he, trained as an intern and resident in pediatrics at the University Hospital of Copenhagen
