Gregory Stock, Ph.D., is a biotech entrepreneur, bioethicist, bestselling author, public communicator, and leading authority on the broad impacts of critical technologies impacting humanity’s future.

Stock is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He founded Socratic Sciences to produce Fathm, a question-driven communications platform that catalyzes understanding, community, and social connection at scale as an antidote to traditional social media. He also co-founded the Harris Center for Precision Wellness at Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai, and the Program on Medicine, Technology, and Society at UCLA’s School of Medicine.

Stock started and led two biotech companies, Signum Biosciences and Ecoeos. He's the author of eight books, including "Redesigning Humans," winner of the Kistler Science Book Prize, and "The Book of Questions," the first in a series on ethics and values that has sold 5 million copies, been translated into 25 languages, and powered the work of Socratic Sciences.

Stock has made over 1,000 media appearances, including Nova, PBS, NPR, Larry King, and Oprah.
