Jerry Brown, Ph.D., is a futurist, energy expert, organizational motivator and business advisor. His new co-authored book, Freedom from Mid-East Oil, outlines a breakthrough strategy whereby the U.S. can achieve independence from Persian Gulf oil in 10 years, while reducing global warming, strengthening the economy and enhancing national security. The book also explores the challenges of the new energy order.

As an inspiring communicator and practical visionary, Jerry Brown has facilitated leading-edge innovations in companies and not-for-profit organizations. Brown is an award-winning teacher and an acclaimed presenter, who speaks before business, government, consumer, labor and environmental forums, both domestically and internationally.

For three decades, Brown has been a consultant to organizations dedicated to constructive change, including: Cesar Chavez's grape boycott on behalf of California farm workers; Business Executives for National Security, an organization of Fortune 1000 Executives that lobbied to prevent nuclear war and end the Cold War; and the World Business Academy, an international network of business leaders dedicated to implementing the "new business paradigm."

Dr. Jerry Brown has written numerous books and articles on energy policy, technology, and political cycles in American history. His first book, Profiles in Power (co-authored in 1997), predicted the emerging global shift to renewable sources of energy.

Dr. Jerry Brown is a Founding Professor of Sociology/Anthropology at a university in Florida, where his courses explore future trends and the impact of technology on society and the economy. He is a Fellow of the World Business Academy and Researcher with the Global Entrepreneurship Center. Dr. Brown received his Ph.D. degree from Cornell University.
