Kiku Adatto is an author, scholar and commentator on American society and culture.

Kiku Adatto is an author, scholar and commentator on American society and culture. Currently a Lecturer in Social Studies at Harvard University, she served as Director of Children's Studies at Harvard, and as a member of the faculty at the Kennedy School of Government and Harvard's Department of Sociology. She is the author of Picture Perfect: The Art and Artifice of Public Image Making, and her writings on childhood, politics, and the media have appeared in the New York Times Magazine, The New Republic, and other publications.

Kiku Adatto became a committed and active supporter of the Sportsmen's Tennis Club soon after her two sons joined the program. She is inspired by Sportsmen's decades-long commitment to sports, education and character building. Dr. Adatto has been active in many community organizations, and, as Director of Children's Studies at Harvard, she led a project on civic education. She received her BA in literature and theater arts from the University of Washington and her Ph.D. in sociology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
