Dr. Michael Daignault is a board-certified emergency room physician at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California. He also has extensive TV experience as a medical contributor for CNBC, ABC7, CBS9 in Los Angeles, and is an opinion contributor for usatoday.com. Throughout the pandemic, he’s been there for the viewers often broadcasting live from the ER by giving in-depth analysis of breaking Covid-19 news.

Dr. Daignault has also appeared multiple times on the long-running syndicated news magazine series Inside Edition by giving insight on a variety of celebrity and trending medical news stories.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Daignault graduated from Georgetown University with a major focus in International Health. After graduation, he went abroad and volunteered with the United States Peace Corps in the West Indies, where he served as an advisor to the National AIDS Programme in St. Lucia. It was here that he established HIV testing and treatment centers on the island. Following his service in the Peace Corps, he founded a short-term project to treat and care for people living with HIV/AIDS in the Caribbean region.

Daignault also worked with the renowned international aid organization Doctors Without Borders, which inspired him to attend medical school at 28 and specialize in emergency medicine. He earned his medical degree from The Ben Gurion University’s Medical School for International Health located in Israel.

After medical school, Dr Daignault completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Lincoln Medical Center in New York City, a Level 1 Trauma Center and one of the busiest emergency rooms in the country. As a resident doctor he published three articles of original research, two in the well-respected Journal of Emergency Medicine.
