Dr. Omar Simpson is a nationally-recognized student success scholar, highly acclaimed public speaker, and award-winning writer. Dr. Simpson is author of three books. His most popular book, For the Love of Education: The Power of an Awakened Mind, sold record copies internationally since its release in 2017. He has given hundreds of invited keynotes and lectures at universities, high schools and conferences across the globe. Dr. Simpson has taught education courses at Johns Hopkins University and at UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Simpson specializes in a field that asks educators to rethink and reconceptualize the educational experience.

Born into poverty and raised by a single mother, Dr. Simpson’s inspirational journey exemplifies leveraging education and utilizing strong discipline to elevate above circumstance and adversity. His story mirrors the story of many young people today. Dr. Omar Simpson has dedicated a significant portion of his life to helping others. He has donated and raised money for low-income families across the world who’ve experienced adverse circumstances, disaster relief initiatives for third-world countries, and leadership programs for youth. A major advocate for mentorship, Dr. Simpson personally mentors hundreds of high school and college students. Among his many non-profit and humanitarian initiatives, Dr. Simpson serves as Chairman of the Omar Simpson Foundation. He is also an active member of several regional and national nonprofit organizations.
