Two years later, he joined JPL, which is headquartered in Pasadena, CA. For JPL’s Galileo mission to Jupiter, which launched in 1989, Maize served as deputy orbiter engineering team chief and maneuver group lead. For NASA’s Cassini-Huygens mission to Saturn, completed in partnership with the European Space Agency, Maize served as manager for spacecraft operations and later deputy program manager.
