Ed Helms has had a diverse career within the comedy genre, both on television and in film. He began as a correspondent on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" from 2002 to 2006 before landing a prominent role as Andy Bernard in the popular NBC sitcom "The Office" from 2006 to 2013. His film career includes notable roles in The Hangover trilogy, the comedy series "Rutherford Falls," and numerous other films such as Cedar Rapids, Jeff Who Lives at Home, We're the Millers, and Vacation, among others. Helms has been recognized for his work with six Screen Actors Guild Award nominations and a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Writing for a Comedy or Variety Special for The Fake News with Ted Nelms.

Helms has also made significant contributions to the world of music and activism. He is part of a bluegrass band, The Lonesome Trio, and co-founded a music blog named The Bluegrass Situation.
