Edward Marx is the Chief Information Officer of Cleveland Clinic. He has served as CIO at hospitals across the country and is well-known in the health IT industry. He has served as CIO at Texas Health Resources, Parkview Medical Center, and University Hospitals. Before stepping into his role at Cleveland Clinic, he served at the Advisory Board Company and oversaw the Epic electronic health record rollout at NYC Health + Hospitals.

In 2013, he was named the CHIME-HIMSS John E. Gall Jr. CIO of the Year. In 2014, he wrote an autobiography titled "Extraordinary Tales From a Rather Ordinary Guy."

Marx received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Colorado State University.
