Eddie George

NFL Legend & 1995 Heisman Trophy Winner; Actor; Entrepreneur

Eddie George Jr. has been a jack-of-all-trades since a young age. Finding his passion first in football, George proved at every level that he was among the elite. At Ohio State University, George won the 1995 Heisman Trophy his senior season, which set him up as a high-level prospect for the 1996 NFL Draft where he was drafted #14th overall to the Houston Oilers. George’s professional career got off to a hot start, winning the 1996 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. George retired in 2006 as the second NFL running back to rush for 10,000 yards while never missing a start. George's number, #27, was also retired by Tennessee Titans.

Life-after-football has been full of success as well. George has acted on Broadway, commentated football games, ran in the Country Music Half Marathon, earned an MBA from Northwestern University and taught classes at his alma mater, Ohio State University. Currently, George is the head football coach at Tennessee State University where he is focusing on building a winning program with sustained success.
