No discussion on elite swim coaches in the world would be complete without the mention of Eddie Reese. Reese has been the head coach of the University of Texas Mens Swim team since 1978, and has experienced success at every level possible since thenfrom coaching NCAA All-Americans and winning ten NCAA Team Titles, to becoming the head coach of the United States Mens Olympics Swim Team three times.

As head coach of UT, Reese has guided 41 NCAA individual champions, 30 national champion relays, 199 All-Americans, and 26 Olympians who have won 29 gold medals. There is no other mens swimming program in the United States that has developed as much tradition and had as much success as Reeses program at Texas
