Documentary Filmmaker, Co-founder of Latindia Studios, Social Justice Advocate

As the grandson of both the notable civil rights activist César Chávez and the Cuban revolutionary Max Lesnik, Eduardo Chavez carries a rich heritage that deeply influences his professional pursuits. He made his directorial debut with the feature documentary "Hailing Cesar," which premiered in April 2018. The film explores his personal journey as he learns about his grandfather's legacy, a theme that resonates deeply across his other projects.

In addition to his work in film, Eduardo is the co-founder of Latindia Studios and serves on the Speakers’ Board for the Chavez Institute for Law and Social Justice. His role in these capacities underscores his commitment to social justice and the arts. Since the release of "Hailing Cesar," Eduardo has taken the film to over 50 universities across three different countries, engaging with diverse audiences about the themes of activism and legacy.

Eduardo also hosts the podcast "We Are Latinx," available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, where he interviews Latinx individuals about their professional endeavors and cultural experiences. His educational background includes a B.A. in communications from Loyola Marymount University, where he attended on a golf scholarship. Prior to his current pursuits, he played professional golf and studied acting in Miami and Los Angeles, further enriching his multifaceted career.
