Edwin Keh  

Teaches in the Operations and Information Management Department of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

dwin Keh currently teaches in the Operations and Information Management Department of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. His research interests are in decision-making models, sustainability, and global supply chain operations. He is also working with Yale and Harvard on an initiative on governance and capacity building in Africa.

Until April 2010, Mr. Keh was Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Wal-Mart Global Procurement. He managed offices in more than 20 countries and sourcing activities in more than 50. In addition to acting as the supply chain spokesman on numerous occasions, Mr. Keh helped put together the 2008 Global CEO Summit on Sustainability in Beijing.

Prior to Wal-Mart, Mr. Keh managed a consulting group that worked with companies on supply chain, manufacturing, and product design, as well as with non-profit organizations and charities. His commercial clients included several multinational companies, and his non-profit work took him to Burma, Thailand, the Philippines, Laos, and China, where he worked with schools, orphanages, tribal peoples, and people afflicted by leprosy.

Mr. Keh served as a senior executive with several U.S. consumer goods and retail companies. He was Managing Director of Payless ShoeSource International, Donna Karan International, and Country Road Australia. He did the start-up sourcing for Abercrombie & Fitch and Structure stores.

Mr. Keh graduated from Whittier College with a bachelor’s degree in political science, sociology, and urban design. Since Whittier, Edwin has done graduate work at Claremont College’s Drucker School. Mr. Keh lives in Hong Kong with his wife Claudia. They have three sons.
