Eileen Burbidge is a Partner at Passion Capital, a pre-eminent early-stage technology venture capital investment firm in Europe, based in London. With a robust background in technology, Burbidge began her career in Silicon Valley, contributing to major tech companies such as Apple, Yahoo!, and Sun Microsystems. She later became one of Skype’s earliest employees after moving to London in 2004.

Throughout her career, Burbidge has been recognized for her influence in the tech sector. Notably, Fortune Magazine described her as "The Queen of British VC." She has consistently been featured in the WIRED100 since 2012 and was also recognized as one of London's 1000 Most Influential People by the Evening Standard newspaper in 2014. She was named one of the 12 Most Influential People in Tech by the Telegraph in the same year. In June 2015, she was honored with an MBE for services to UK Business.

In her role at Passion Capital, she acts as a board director for a range of portfolio companies including Monzo Bank, Digital Shadows, Focal Point Positioning, Prowler.IO, and Butternut Box. Previously, she served on the boards of Duedil, Lulu, wireWAX, Mondo, and Kovert Designs. Additionally, Burbidge holds several significant advisory and ambassadorial roles, including the UK Treasury’s Special Envoy for Fintech, appointed by the Chancellor, and Tech Ambassador for the Mayor of London’s Office. She was also a member of former UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s Business Advisory Group. Burbidge holds a BSc Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
