She is also frequently seen on The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. A prolific author, Drew has written nine books. Two popular titles include On the Edge: The Clinton Presidency and Showdown: The Struggle Between the Gingrich Congress and the Clinton White House. Her most recent book is Corruption of American Politics: What Went Wrong and Why, a keen look at how the American political system has reached the point where it is today, ans what citizens can do to help it.

Drew has had her own series of weekly television programs for PBS and has served as a moderator and panelist for two presidential debates. Drew is one of a few reporters who covered the Clinton impeachment AND the Nixon impeachment proceedings.
