Elizabeth Nyamayaro is the founder of Africa IQ, a social impact organization that promotes Africa's sustainable economic growth and development, as well as head of UN Women's @HeForShe campaign, a United Nations global solidarity movement for gender equality.

A seasoned political scientist, Nyamayaro serves as a former senior advisor to the Under Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women. She has worked at the forefront of global development for over two decades across various sectors, including roles at UNAIDS, the World Health Organization, the World Bank, and UN Women. Additionally, Nyamayaro is the founder of AfricaYouth.org, Africa's largest youth movement addressing the continent's challenges.

Nyamayaro’s leadership and advocacy have earned her a place in Apolitico’s "100 Most Influential People in Gender Policy" for 2018 and 2019. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, such as the PR Council Trailblazer Award for Social Impact and the Feminist Majority Foundation’s Global Women’s Rights Award. She holds a Master of Science in Politics from the London School of Economics & Political Science and has furthered her leadership education at Harvard Business School. She is the author of the memoir "I Am A Girl From Africa," which shares her inspirational journey and commitment to empowering marginalized communities.
