Ellen Oh            

Young Adult & Middle Grade Author & Editor; Founding Member of We Need Diverse Books

Ellen Oh is a Korean-American author, and founding member and CEO of We Need Diverse Books, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing diversity in children's literature. She is the award-winning author of the middle grade novels "Finding Junie Kim," "The Dragon Egg Princess," and "The Spirit Hunters" trilogy as well as the young adult (YA) trilogy "The Prophecy," a series of fantasy novels based on Korean folklore.

Oh is also the editor of the middle grade compilation "Flying Lessons and Other Stories," and the YA anthology "A Thousand Beginnings and Endings." She edited, and contributed to, "You Are Here," a powerful exploration of contemporary Asian American identity.

Oh is a former adjunct college instructor and lawyer with an insatiable curiosity for ancient Asian history. She received her BA from New York University and her JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
