Academy Award-Winning Australian Film Producer; Best Known for "The King's Speech" & "The Power of the Dog"

Emile Sherman is an Australian film producer. He won an Academy Award for Best Picture for The King's Speech (2010) and has produced other critically acclaimed films including Lion (2016) and The Power of the Dog (2021). Sherman also produced the Emmy Award-Winning television series "Top Of The Lake."

Sherman founded See-Saw Films with UK producer Iain Canning in 2008. Through his previous company, Sherman Pictures, he produced films including the Toronto International Film Festival FIPRESCI awarded film Disgrace starring John Malkovich and based on Nobel Prize winning author J.M.Coetzee's novel; the Annie Award Best Film nominated stop motion animation feature $9.99; and award-winning films Candy starring Heath Ledger and Geoffrey Rush, and Phillip Noyce's Rabbit Proof Fence (as EP).

Sherman was the recipient of the Screen Producers Association Of Australia 2009 "Independent Producer of the Year Award."
