Emily Henderson is a stylist, interior designer, TV host, and founder of Emily Henderson Design.

Formerly on "HGTV Design Star" and "Secrets From a Stylist."

Described as charming, hard-working and having a fun sense of fashion, Henderson soon found work as a design consultant with several world-renowned designers and stylists. Eventually, her talent and style, which she says is a mix of classical and contemporary design, led her to start her own business as a prop, lifestyle and tabletop designer. She has worked with companies and publications like Martha Stewart, Elle Decor, InStyle, Domino, House Beautiful, Coastal Living, Target, and Anthropologie.

In 2007 Henderson moved to Los Angeles with her husband and auditioned for HGTV's "DesignStar," which she won. Shortly after her first-place finish, she hosted her own TV show on HGTV called "Secrets From A Stylist" where she analyzed the homeowners' style through her patented style diagnostic and restyled their home to match their personality using vintage and affordable design.

She currently runs her design firm in Los Angeles. He also has her own daily style blog and is a contributing editor for Huffington Post and Buzzfeed.

Henderson is originally from Portland, Oregon. She developed her uniquely creative nature growing up in a family that often made their own clothes and reupholstered their own furniture. After graduating from the University of Oregon, she moved to New York City to study industrial design at The Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Soon after, she became an in-demand photoshoot stylist for top lifestyle and design publications and national retailers.
