Emma Mackey is an Anglo-French actor. Her breakthrough performance as Maeve Wiley, a sardonic teenager, in the Netflix comedy-drama series "Sex Education" (2019–present), earned her a British Academy Television Award nomination.

She has since starred in the mystery film Death on the Nile (2022) and portrayed the writer Emily Brontë in the drama film Emily (2022). She won the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2023. Mackey also appeared in the fantasy comedy film Barbie.
