Supermodel, TV Personality, Social Reformer & Chair Ambassador of the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA)

Emme, the supermodel, television personality, author, lecturer, clothing designer, and nationally recognized body image and self esteem advocate has a clear mission: to awaken the inner magnificence inherent in each of us.

Emme brings her love of clothing to QVC with me by emme™, her signature line of comfortable, trend forward, sportswear separates in sizes 2-26. Emme burst onto the scene as the world's first full-figured supermodel and, as host of E! Entertainment Television's "Fashion Emergency", she quickly became a popular icon not only in the United States, but around the globe. Emme's television and radio appearances are innumerable, but she has appeared on: The Oprah Winfrey Show, ABC's Good Morning America, NBC's Today Show, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, and as guest host of the Joan Hamburg Show on WOR Radio, as a fashion expert and advocate for women on important issues including body image, surviving cancer, mothering, and adopting a greener lifestyle.

Emme chronicled her extraordinary life and rise to success in her first book, True Beauty (1997). She continued to share her personal experiences and passionate perspective on life with Life's Little Emergencies (2003), Morning Has Broken: A Couple's Journey Through Depression (2006), and co-authored Curvy and Confident: 101 Stories of Loving Yourself and Your Body (2007). In 2007, she released her first children's book What Are You Hungry For?, which addresses the reality that children have many hungers, including emotional ones. Emme's prominence as a writer continued with her Ask Emme column for MODE magazine, and in 2008 began to blog about self esteem issues in the Living Section at The Huffington Post and at iVillage with her Simply Green with Emme, discussing her commitment to the green movement from the perspective of a multi-tasking mom.

Emme is a vocal advocate for people of all ages to be fit and to live a healthy lifestyle while simultaneously combating societal and peer pressure. She is the founder of her passion project: Fashion Without Limits, an inclusive fashion design initiative that teaches future fashion designers how to design for all women size 0-24+, addressing the 100 million women not able to buy clothes that fit and reflect their personality.

Emme is the Chair Ambassador of the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), is on the advisory boards of Ophelia's Place (Syracuse New York's eating disorder resource), and Hearts of Gold (serving New York City's underprivileged women and children).

Emme's popularity as a lecturer is well earned; She promotes and exemplifies a wellness lifestyle, positive body image, self-esteem and self-acceptance as a sought after keynote speaker. She lectures at national workshops and seminars, prestigious universities including Yale, Harvard, and NYU as well as middle and high schools around the country.
