Eric Chen is a managing partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers. Throughout his career, Mr. Chen has been a technology entrepreneur and investor. Prior to joining SoftBank, he co-founded and led Silver Lake Asia, and co-founded and ran several technology startup companies. Mr. Chen has a Ph.D. from Stanford University and studied physics at Peking University. He is an independent board member of Applied Materials and is co-founder and current chairman of Future Forum, a non-profit aiming at promoting science in China.
