Eric Herrenkohl is the founder and president of Herrenkohl Consulting, a firm that helps small and mid-sized businesses build A-player teams.

Eric is the author of the upcoming book How to Hire A-Players: Finding the Top People for Your Team - Even if You Don't Have a Recruiting Department, which is being published by John Wiley & Sons (April 2010).

Eric serves as an expert author for Monster.com. His work has been cited by Fox News, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Inc.com, Careerbuilder.com, Running Intelligence, the SHRM Consultants' Forum, Carlson Hotels' Voyageur Magazine, Forconstructionpros.com and MSNBC.com. He is the author of Performance Principles, a highly-regarded e-letter in the small and mid-sized business space. Performance Principles reaches over 85,000 subscribers across the globe and material from it is reproduced in a number of business and educational publications.

Previous to founding Herrenkohl Consulting in 2002, Eric was an executive recruiter, working with Fortune 500 and mid-market companies to identify and recruit CFOs, Controllers and financial staff for their organizations. He also spent seven years in the sales incentive industry, working with manufacturers in the high-tech, automotive, and capital equipment industries. During his years in the incentive industry, Eric operated one of the first electronic incentive systems to be granted a U.S. patent. His clients there included IBM, Lexmark, Congoleum Flooring, Saturn Car Company, and others. Eric also brings experience in the non-profit sector, working with boards, raising funds, and developing volunteer leaders.

Eric received his undergraduate degree in economics and history from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary in Saint Louis, Mo. Eric and his wife have four children and live in greater Philadelphia.
