Described as a ?West Wing mascot? by the New York Times, a ?wunderkind? by the Washington Post, and an ?all-around mensch? by ABC News, Eric Lesser?s experience spans politics, media, government, and the law. Eric is currently a student at Harvard Law School and a consultant for the Emmy-winning HBO comedy ?Veep.? At Harvard, Eric also runs a speaker series for undergraduates interested in public service; recent guests include top officials in politics, media, academia, and three heads of state. Recently, Eric worked as a summer associate for WilmerHale, a leading global law firm, in both Washington and Boston. He also worked as a clinical intern at the Boston U.S. Attorney?s Office, where he helped with preparations for the trial of Whitey Bulger. Eric remains active in several campaigns and civic efforts in both Massachusetts and Washington, and is a Fellow of the Truman National Security Project. Prior to law school, Eric worked in the White House in a variety of roles. He spent the first two years of the Obama Administration as Special Assistant to Senior Adviser David Axelrod, where he assisted in developing and implementing the White House?s strategic approach to a variety of policy challenges, including the financial crisis, passage of healthcare reform, and the drawdown from the Iraq War.
