Miss America 2004 & International Speaker on Diversity; Award-Winning Public Relations Strategist
Ericka Dunlap is an award-winning Public Relations Strategist, Entrepreneur, Community Advocate, TV Show Host, Amazing Racer and iconic American Beauty Queen, also known as Miss America 2004.
A dynamic presenter and performer, Dunlap was born, raised and educated in Orlando, Florida where she graduated from Boone High School (Class of 2000) and the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!).
She is the CEO of Crown Comm Group, a multi-disciplinary, strategic consulting firm in Orlando.
During her junior year at UCF, she became the first African-American woman to be crowned Miss Florida, and later in the year won the title of Miss America, which has allowed her to boldly stand in the face of adversity as a Champion for Inclusion & Diversity Best Practices.
Her accomplishments during her year of service as Miss America have inspired leaders in education, government and business to refer to her wisdom as a trusted advisor, board member and motivator.
For over 15 years, she has delivered numerous keynote addresses, commencement speeches and workshops on the topics of Self-Care, Etiquette, Diversity & Inclusion and Cultural Competency.
Dunlap has used her platform and range of experiences to create valuable opportunities for individuals and organizations as a devoted Coach, Mentor and Role Model.
Amongst other distinguished accomplishments, she has expanded her reach to bring solutions to her community as a former candidate for public office.
Her mission is to encourage people to find their passion and to live with authenticity and enthusiasm.

A specific focus on the disproportion and misconceptions commonly associated with low-income and international patients.
Ms. Dunlap shares gathered information from her many travels and in-depth interactions with diverse audiences the world over. She also highlights experiences of being raised by an RN, her motherFran, who would often enlighten young Ericka on daily interactions with her patients and the importance of giving 100% to the care of the patient regardless of the cultural barriers.

And it is with this mindset that we are able to make positive changes to our lifestyles and viewpoints that are most affected by our differences. In this discussion, Ericka highlights the frequently untapped areas of diversity to enlighten the audience on how to think outside of the box and gain a better understanding of the need for inclusive behavior.
