Erika Chirino

Actor, Dancer, Musician & Disability Advocate

Erika Chirino is a Cuban-American living in the best of both worlds: Deaf and Hearing. Born hard-of-hearing to two Deaf parents in Miami, FL, she was inspired to become an advocate for her community, passionate about empowering others through performance to bring the Deaf and Hearing communities together.

Chirino's love for performance began at an early age, when she joined chorus in elementary school. To ensure the show was accessible for her parents, she taught the whole choir the signs for the lyrics! After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Marketing & Professional Selling, Chirino moved to Los Angeles and began her work in the Entertainment industry. Her work involved being featured in the Emmy award-winning "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" (2019), The "Green Couch" (2020), Moonset (2020), booking commercial work with CVS (2022), and performing on the television special, ADA Lean On Honors National Disability Employment Awareness Month (2020).

Additionally, she has been involved at the Deaf West Theatre as a Project Manager and with SignWorld Studios as the Social Media Marketing Manager. Currently, Chirino works for the Communication Service for the Deaf full-time as a Marketing Account Manager.
