Erin Burnett is anchor of "Erin Burnett OutFront," a nightly news program that reports on the people, places and events that lead the global conversation. In her trademark casual and confident style, whether out on the road or in front of the headlines, Burnett delivers a show that is in-depth and curious.

Burnett also serves as the network's Chief Business and Economics Correspondent. During her tenure at CNN, Burnett has covered countless breaking news stories, including the Paris and Brussels terror attacks. She has also reported from Iran, Afghanistan, Cuba, Israel and across Africa and Asia - bringing untold stories to life. Her investigative report on terror funding identified a Qatari financier whom the U.S. Treasury Department subsequently officially designated a global terrorist. Burnett's reporting on U.S. national security issues also includes on-the-ground coverage of the rise of Al Qaeda in North Africa and a one-hour documentary titled "The Truth About Benghazi." Domestically, she covered the 2012 and 2016 U.S. presidential elections, traveling the country to report from the ground and interviewing major candidates.

Burnett joined CNN from CNBC where she anchored two flagship programs daily and contributed to Meet the Press. During her tenure at CNBC/NBC News, Burnett traveled the world, including broadcasting from Cairo during the Egyptian revolution and from Nigeria after the attempted terror bombing of a Detroit-bound jet.In addition to her anchor role at CNBC, Burnett reported for MSNBC's "Morning Joe," "NBC Nightly News," and "Meet the Press." She also substitute-anchored the "Today Show" for Meredith Vieira and appeared on NBC's popular prime-time series "The Apprentice" as a boardroom advisor to Donald Trump. Burnett also produced and anchored documentaries on India, Russia, Iraq, Dubai and Africa.

Burnett lives in New York with her husband and three young children. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and was selected as one of Fortune magazine's Top 40 Under 40.
