Erin Mulcahy Stein  

Executive Director, The Women's Conference

Erin Mulcahy Stein has served as the President/Executive Director of The California Governor and First Ladys Conference on Women and Families (The Womens Conference) since early 2006.

Erin oversees the production of the annual live conference as well as the six affiliated WE programs.

From 2003 to 2006, Erin worked closely with Maria Shriver developing several initiatives and programs, including those focused on disaster preparedness, military families, and service and volunteerism. Erin established the California State Alliance, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, under which managed Ms. Shrivers charitable programs.

In the years prior to 2003, Erin worked as a legal consultant for law firms and businesses while she raised her three sons.

In addition, Erin served on the board of directors of several nonprofit organizations, acting as board chair and development committee chair for United Friends of the Children.

From 1980 through 1990, Erin practiced law at Long & Levit, handling trials in multi-party insurance cases, and at Weissmann, Wolff, Bergman, Coleman & Silverman, handling entertainment business litigation.

Erin received her JD, cum laude, from University of San Diego School of Law, and her BA in English and Psychology, magna cum laude, from University of California, San Diego.

Erin lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband and three sons, ages 18-22 years.
