Ernest Wilson III is Walter H. Annenberg chair in communication and dean of the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California and the Walter H. Annenberg chair in communication. Wilson directs the Talent-21 Partnership to enhance "Third Space" skill building in IT, media and communication industries. His articles on Silicon Valley's foreign policy and on achieving sustainable innovation recently appeared in Foreign Affairs and Strategy + Business. Wilson served on the senior staff of the National Security Council. He was appointed by presidents Clinton and Bush to the board of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and was elected chair in 2010. He is co-chair of the U.S.-China Bi-National Commission on Trust-Building and was a senior advisor on President Obama's 2008 transition team. Wilson is a member of the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley.
