Esther Krofah      

Executive Vice President, of FasterCures at Milken Institute

Esther Krofah currently holds the position of executive vice president at MI Health. Her vast portfolio includes leading FasterCures, Public Health, the Future of Aging, and Feeding Change. Krofah's professional journey spans various sectors, including government, nonprofit, and for-profit organizations. Her leadership is characterized by her ability to bring together diverse stakeholder groups to address critical issues and achieve mutual goals, all with the overarching aim of improving patient lives.

Before joining MI Health, Krofah was the director of public policy at GlaxoSmithKline. In this role, she was responsible for liaising with the US Department of Health and Human Services and relevant executive branch agencies on a wide array of healthcare policy matters. Her initiatives included improving vaccinations and care for individuals living with HIV. Krofah's previous roles also include serving as the deputy director of HHS’ Office of Health Reform, where she spearheaded the development of policy positions for significant regulatory priorities, including health insurance marketplaces.

Krofah's early career saw her at the National Governors Association (NGA) healthcare division and Deloitte Consulting LLP. At the NGA, she worked with governors’ health policy advisors, state Medicaid directors, and state health commissioners on health insurance, health workforce, and Medicaid coverage issues. At Deloitte, she assisted public sector and commercial clients, including helping states develop state-based exchanges. Her academic background includes a BA from Duke University and a master’s in public policy from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.
